About

This is an occasional blog about ethical issues that arise in growing, shipping, processing, selling, regulating, and eating food.

The blog is written by me, Chris MacDonald. A Philosopher by training, I teach at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management in Toronto, Canada. (More about me here: About Chris MacDonald.)

I’m interested in pretty much all ethics issues that arise with regard to food, from questions about organic agriculture to questions about animal welfare to questions about ethical food consumerism.

This blog is relatively new (it started in June of 2010). But I’ve blogged pretty often about food at my Business Ethics Blog (you can find what I’ve written about food there by using the search field in the right-hand column of the blog).

I pay for the web hosting for this blog through the trickle of income I get when people buy things through my Ethics Bookstore. So if you like this blog, don’t forget to bookmark my bookstore!

If you have questions about the blog over all, feel free to contact me at chris@businessethicsblog.com

  1. Pat says:

Outstanding blog. Really appreciate the non-foot-stamping tone, and genuine interest in getting to the bottom of things.

  2. Completely, 110% behind you on this blog. The problem today is the lack of knowledge the general public has about these issues. I hope that we can spread the word through our blogs!
